Crowdestor Overview

Crowdestor is a platform for real estate and business loans investments. The company was founded in 2018 and almost 4000 investors from different countries have invested in loans listed on Crowdestor. Crowdestor works under the jurisdiction of Estonian law. The central office and working team are based in the heart of the Baltic States – Riga, Latvia. The Interest rates

The interest rates are super attractive according to the market of real estate crowdfunding investments. In fact, their interest rates are usually in the 15% - 17% range and in some cases, it could be up to 21%. 

Types of investments on Crowdestor

Crowdestor offers two different types of crowdfunding model on their webpage:

  • Classic crowdfunding – way of raising capital for business from multiple investors by giving pledges or collaterals on it.
  • Equity crowdfunding – way of raising capital for business from multiple investors by selling parts of equity off.

Crowdestor Buyback Guarantee

A few months ago, Crowdestor announced the creation of a buyback fund. It will be used to reimburse the investors in case the borrower defaults. The initial amount was €50 000 and it grows thanks to a commission on new projects.

  • The platform is young
  • No auto-invest feature
  • No secondary market

Crowdestor how it works and who can invest?

Crowdestor is open for any person who is 18 years or older, has a European bank account is eligible to make investments on the platform. Companies can also invest if they have a bank account within the European Union. Once you make a registration, you can deposit and withdraw your funds via bank transfer.

How do you start investing? (opening an Account)

The first step is always to open an investment account on the platform. Crowdestor makes the process as simple as possible. In fact, you can log in with your Google account or choose an option through Facebook. As well, you can do the full registration. After that, you will need to upload your ID card or Passport and wait for a confirmation from the Crowdestor team. After following all these steps, your account is ready. You just need to put money on your account via bank transfer or by your credit card. Usually, banks need from 1 to 3 days to transfer the funds (depends on the bank and country).

Making the first investment

After confirming your account, you immediately have access to all the projects that are open for funding. Crowdestor has a user-friendly and intuitive dashboard, so you can easily choose the project, which you like more. Note that the minimum investment amount is 50 euros. Moreover, interest rates are computed from the day you start investing, instead of the day when the project is completely funded.

Should you invest?

Crowdestor is very young and non-regulated platform based in Estonia on the one hand. From the other hand, they have attractive interest rates for their users and buyback fund in case of default.
